Welcome to the home of Brookfield Cricket

Having Retired Hurt many seasons ago, cricket has made a long awaited return to the Brookfield crease! A school that boasts Derbyshire, Somerset & England player Ian Blackwell as a former student is once again aspiring to help produce cricketing stars of the future.

A number of exciting fixtures including a trip to Trent College and a ‘Stanfordesque’ T20 festival in the summer represent the prize for students of Brookfield school following hours of training spent in the Sports Hall and at Cricketal during the long winter months.

Brookfield School now has a 1st XI made up of the best cricketers from across the age range including Sixth Form students, the standard of this side is improving and is bolstered by a number of club and county players. The highlight for these students will undoubtedly be the much anticipate end of term clash with the Staff XI! Younger students aspiring to one day turn out for the 1st X1 can gain experience in one of the junior squads at either U15, U14 or U13 level, playing in a variety of cup and friendly competitions against local schools.
